- CUMBERLAND — William Edward Kerr, 24, of Cumberland, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Born at Memorial Hospital on Nov. 11, 1990, he was the son of Stephen and Sarah Kerr. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Glenn Dale Kerr and Kermit Franklin England; an aunt, Victoria Susan Kerr; an uncle, Timothy Kermit England; and two cousins, Catherine Ann Kerr and Brittney Nicole Kerr. All of whom were of Cumberland. Will was a member of Second Baptist Church and a 2007 graduate of Fort Hill High School and The Center for Career and Technical Education where he specialized in Computer Technology. He was employed in the Information Technology Department at the Rocky Gap Casino Resort and was one of the first people hired before the casino transition. Besides his family and friends he was also passionate about computers, motorcycles, and target shooting. Besides his parents, Will was survived by grandmothers, Dorothy Louise Kerr and Shirley Ann England, both of Cumberland; a sister, Sarah Marie Truslow and husband William of Orange, Va.; a niece, Lilyana Truslow; a nephew, William Truslow Jr; an uncle, Dale Franklin England of Frankford, W.Va.; numerous cousins; and special friends in the O’Bryan family. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. at 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland.
