- ECKHART - Mrs. Viva Mae Lancaster, 57, of here, died Wednesday in Miners Hospital where she was admitted on Monday. A native of Eckhart, she was a daughter of the late George and Merinda (Porter) Ryan. Her husband, John E. Lancaster, preceded her in death. Mrs. Lancaster was a member of the Eckhart Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sheila Hamrick, Eckhart; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Porter, Eckhart, and two brothers, Robert J. and Russell W. Ryan, both of Eckhart. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with interment in Eckhart Cemetery. Rev. Richard W. Simpson will officiate. The Cumberland News, January 12, 1968
