  Notes	FROSTBURG - William R. Vogtman Sr., 74, formerly of 45 Summit Place, Frostburg, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1992 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born Aug. 14, 1918 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late C. Aden and Clara (Laemmert) Vogtman. Mr. Vogtman served as the city clerk/treasurer for the City of Frostburg for 25 years and was affiliated with the First Congregational Church. He served in the Air Force during World War II in the China/Burma/India Theater and was a member of the American Legion, Farrady Post 24, Frostburg. Mr. Vogtman was also a lifetime member of the Frostburg Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Clara Mae (Thomas) Vogtman; two sons, William R. Vogtman Jr. and his wife Janice; Thomas A. Vogtman Sr. and his wife Frances, all of Frostburg; and four grandchildren,William R. Vogtman III; Todd A. Vogtman; Thomas A. Vogtman Jr. and Teresa M. Vogtman, all of Frostburg. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home Sunday where memorial services will be conducted at 8 p.m. by the Frostburg Fire Department. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joe Penick and the Rev. T. William Preston. Interment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park. The American Legion, Farrady Post 24, will accord military honors at the graveside. Pallbearers will be William R. Vogtman III, Todd A.Vogtman, Thomas A. Vogtman Jr., all grandsons; T. William Preston, Vernon Beale and Robert Delaney. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughter, Teresa Vogtman; officer of the Frostburg Fire Department and the 1980 mayor and council when Mr. Vogtman retired, William Davis; former mayor, John Roland; Robert Connor and Donald Peck.
