- FROSTBURG - Raymond W. Shoemake, 50, of 22 East Main Street, died yesterday in VA Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va., following a long illness. Born at Zihlman, he was the son of the late George Shoemake and Cora (Winebrenner) Shoemake. He was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church and Farrady Post 24 American Legion. He was a disabled Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth (Snyder) Shoemake; one son, Paul M. Shoemake, Loartown; one daughter, Mrs. Sally Beynon, Manassas, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Annamary Witt, Cresaptown; two half-sisters, Mrs. Delores Harris, Borden; Mrs. Malebell Paul, Cumberland; two brothers, George Shoemake, California; Arthur Shoemake, Germany; two half-brothers, Edgar Shoemake, here; Ernest Witt, North Carolina, and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home. Cumberland News, Saturday, January 28, 1978
