  Notes	ELLERSLIE - Troy W. Beal, 68, of Haymann Street, Ellerslie, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1993 at the Cumberland Memorial Hospital following an accident. Born Nov. 28, 1924 in Ellerslie, he was the son of the late Irvin H. and Mae M. (Blume) Beal. He was also preceded in death by a son and a brother. Mr. Beal retired in 1988 after 19 years of employment with the U.S. Post Office in Cumberland. He also retired in 1969 with 20 years of service with the U.S. Navy as an aviation ordinance first class. Mr. Beal served with the Navy during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He attended the Ellerslie United Methodist Church. A member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch Four, Mr. Beal was also a member of the Ellerslie Outdoor Club, Barrelville Outdoor Club and the Kennell's Mills Sportsman's Club. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Betty J. (Shroyer) Beal; one son, Mark I. Beal, Centreville, Va.; one daughter, Rebecca J. Murphy and husband, Ivan, Cumberland; a grandson, Christopher Troy Beal; two brothers, Oswald O. Beal, Hyattsville; Wendell C. Beal, Elyria, Ohio and two sisters, Winifred E. Dudley, Cumberland; Zelma A. Kelly, Ellerslie. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Pa., on Thursday. Services will be conducted there Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Rebecca J. Vardiman. Interment will be at the Porter Cemetery near Ellerslie. Pallbearers will be Dale See, Donnie Lowery, Kenny Printy, Ron Cook, Leroy Speelman and Jeff Levering. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Hyndman VFW, Oscar Jordan Post 7375 and the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Cumberland Times News, Thursday, August 12, 1993
