- CORRIGANVILLE - Earl E. Clites, 66, died Friday, April 24, 1992 at his residence. Born July 3, 1925 in Corriganville, he was the son of the late Floyd G. and Eula B. (Shrout) Clites. Mr. Clites was a retired self-employed contractor. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater, and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ; Kemp Lodge 154, AF&AM, Mount Savage; and the Ali Ghan Shrine, Cumberland. Survivors include his wife, M. Louise (Barncord) Clites; one daughter, Sharon L. Bogard, and one granddaughter, Morgan K. Clites Bogard, both of Corriganville; three brothers, Paul F. Clites, Cresaptown; Ronald A. Clites, Greenport; Darl C. Clites, Rockville; and one sister, Juanita “Susie” Seeders, Springfield, W.Va. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Pa. Services will be conducted there Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ken L. Korns and the Rev. Ruth S. Kershner. Interment will be in the Porter Cemetery near Ellerslie. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by members of Oscar Jordan Post 7375, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hyndman, and the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Scott Barncord, Eric Barncord, Mark Barncord, Terry Crabtree, Michael Clites, and David Clites. Cumberland Times-News, Saturday, April 25, 1992
