- Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Born July 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Quentin Griffey Sr. and Hazel (Porter) Griffey. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Quentin Griffey Jr. Mr. Griffey worked as master carpenter at ABL. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Kenneth was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church. Surviving are his loving wife, Marilyn Jean (Webb) Griffey; two stepchildren, Jennifer Dempsey and husband Parks, of Seattle, Wash., and Brian Cather and wife Jessica, of Apex, N.C.; and three stepgrandchildren, Clara Dempsey, Owen Dempsey and Benjamin Cather; and a mother-in-law, Dolores Brooks. A memorial service will be held in the Ellerslie United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ted Marsh officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation may be made to the funeral home to help defray the funeral expenses. Cumberland Times-News, April 11, 2012
