- GRANTSVILLE — Harry Ronald Campbell, 71, of 39 S. Old Shade Hollow Road, Grantsville, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born May 7, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., he was a son of the late James E. and Clara (Hoenshell) Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Leah Mae (Hetrick) Campbell on March 31, 1976; and one daughter, Bonita Self on Nov. 5, 1984. Mr. Campbell was of the Mennonite faith. He was a retired kiln operator for Harbison-Walker Refractories with 41 years of service and also served numerous terms as President of U.S.W. Local 14404. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Larna Rae (Bittinger) Campbell; three sons, Richard Lee Campbell, Jack Edward Campbell and wife Deborah, and Alan Dale Campbell and wife Margie, all of Grantsville; one brother, Dale Campbell, Akron, Ohio; six grandchildren, Bobbie Sebree, Jackie Fratz, Chad Campbell, Jason Campbell, Jessie Rollan and Teri Smith; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Orval and Thelma Bittinger, Lonaconing, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Monday. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Snodgrass officiating. Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery.
