- October 26, 2004 - Cumberland Times-News - MOUNT SAVAGE — Kenneth William Winebrenner Sr., 70, of Reds Lane, NW, Mount Savage, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born July 30, 1934, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late John W. Winebrenner, Sr. and Virginia F. (Gordon) Winebrenner. Mr. Winebrenner was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia M. Skidmore; and two brothers; John W. Winebrenner Jr. and Carl E. “Mike” Winebrenner. Mr. Winebrenner was a retired cutter/packer with PPG Industries and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church, a life member of the Evergreen Hunting Club and the Kennells Mill Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette “Jean” (Bean) Winebrenner; three sons, Kenneth W. Winebrenner Jr. and wife Nanette, Fairmont, W.Va., David J. Winebrenner and wife Tini, Germany, and Ricky K. Winebrenner and wife Karen, Mount Savage; two granddaughters, Heather Winebrenner and Natasha Winebrenner; two grandsons, Christopher Winebrenner and Justin Winebrenner; sister-in-law, Dot McDonald and husband Roy; brother-in-law, Jim Bean and wife Carol; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. Interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran’s Cemetery, Flintstone. Military Honors will be accorded by Mount Savage Post 6025 V.F.W. honor guard. Pallbearers will be Wayne Skidmore, Neal “Pete” Skidmore, Denny Skidmore, Kevin Skidmore, Terry Golden and Bobby Butler.
