SUTTON, W.Va. — Evelyn Ruth Glyn, 87, a long-time resident of Sutton, W.Va., died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Braxton County Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 26, 1924, in Moscow, Mrs. Glyn was the daughter of the late Albion Mobray and Rose Ella (Crawford) Hyde. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Glyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Glyn; sisters Daris Arnold and Helen O’Malley; and brother, James Hyde. A graduate of Barton High School, she was a clerk and stenographer for the Social Security Administration in Maryland, where she worked her entire career. Her sister, Phyllis Richardson, of Lonaconing, and 10 nieces and nephews survive her. A private memorial service will be held in Western Maryland, where Mrs. Glyn was raised. Burial will be in Laurel Run Cemetery in Barton. Cumberland Times-News, May 9, 2012
