Born January 9, 1934, in National, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Thomas and Hannah Louise (Folk) Leatherman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Anderson, one brother, Daniel Thomas Leatherman, and two sisters: Zoe VanMeter and Betty Shumate. She was employed at the Union Rescue Mission. She was a member of the Woodland Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons: Alex Thomas Anderson, at home, and John William Anderson and wife, Theresa, Berkeley Springs, WV; and two grandchildren: Alexis Victoria Witt, and Shaharazad Nicole Anderson, and one sister: Bertha May Morrison and husband, Edward, Memphis, TE. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 West Main Street, Frostburg, on Monday from 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Harry Burchell, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
