    Notes
    • FROSTBURG — Ina Mae (Rayner) Chabot, 94, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home in Frostburg. Born Sept. 19, 1918, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late James T. Rayner and Edna Mae (Folk) Rayner. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul, to whom she was married 66 years; a sister, Geraldine (Rayner) Lee and brothers Rev. Wilmer Rayner and Rev. Merrill Rayner. She is survived by four daughters, Marlene Lennox, Vikki Knieriem, Gayle Kastell and husband Henry and Paula Willison and husband Bob, all of Frostburg. Ina had ten grandchildren, Jason Lennox, Erick Lennox and wife Charlene, Troy Lennox and wife Deborah, Jaime McFarland, Justyn McFarland, Adrienne Kastell and husband JR, Henry Kastell II, Bobby Willison, Jeremy Willison and Carly Willison. She was great-grandmother to 11, Samantha, Meghan, Amanda, Bridgette, Erika, Rachael, Tyler, Dylan, Alexis, Barry, and Noah. She had one great-great-grandson, “Little Mason.” She loved her grandchildren each and everyone and delighted in their children as her “Great Children”. Also surviving is her dear sister-in-law, Ruby Rayner, of Frostburg. Ina worked at the Celanese Corp., but after marriage to her dearest Paul, she enjoyed her role as housewife and mother. She was extremely proud of “her girls,” as she called her daughters. Ina loved her husband, her family and her church, Frostburg Assembly of God, where she was a faithful member. As many are aware, the Rayner families were great cooks and Ina carried on that Rayner tradition. She was chief cook for many church events and as she aged, she saw to it the torch was passed to the next generation. Ina enjoyed eating pancakes, sampling chocolates and riding in the car. She loved family gatherings, birthdays, special occasions and any excuse to “dress up” in pink. She liked listening to the Gaither Gospel group and watching Wheel of Fortune. She was anticipating her 79th reunion from Central High School where she held the honor of being the youngest ever to graduate at age 15. Ina touched a lot of lives in her 94 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, devoted wife, mother and friend, who never lost her sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She was blessed with a gentle departure and we take great comfort in knowing she is finally reunited with husband Paul, whom she loved so dearly and missed so much. Mother, Give our love to Dad and save us each a place. As her family, may we each follow her example to love and serve The Lord, as we love and serve others. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Frostburg Assembly of God Church, 126 Maple St., Frostburg, on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Butch Wright officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Cumberland Times-News, June 25, 2013
