- . FROSTBURG — Rhoda Mae Folk, 91, a patient at Western Maryland Health System and Rehab Center, Frostburg, died July 15, 2010, at Western Maryland Health System, Cumberland. Born in Frostburg Nov. 1, 1919, she was a daughter of the late George Edward Skidmore and Martha (Williams) Skidmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Raymond Folk; and brother, Harry; and sisters, Mary, Sara, Margaret, Catherine and Dorothy. Rhoda was a member of Welsh Baptist Church, Frostburg, and former employee of Stoops Restaurant and American Legion of Frostburg. Surviving are two sons, Ronald Dale Folk and wife Irene, Midland, and John Lee Folk and wife Mary, North Carolina; grandchildren, Deanna, Ronald Dale Jr. and Trish; and great-grandchildren, Chris, Katie and Devann; and one sister, Gladys McKenzie, patient at Devlin Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland, on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. George Harpold. At her request, she was cremated. Inurnment will be at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, near Flintstone. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and employees at the WMHS and Rehab Center, Frostburg, for the wonderful care she received while a patient there.
