- Eckhart on January 9, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John Nelson and Rose (Crowe) Nelson, the youngest of 16 children. She was pre- ceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Krauss in 1982, one son, Allan Krauss in 1981 and 15 brothers and sisters. Stella was a beautician and owned and operated Stella's Beauty Shop on Main Street in Frostburg for many years. She was a graduate of the Beall High School class of 1932. She was a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Dinah S. Shockey, Waynesboro, PA and two sons: Philip N. Krauss, Waynesboro, PA, and Rick Krauss, Frostburg, and three grandchildren, Philip F. Krauss, Mt. Savage, Michelle Krauss, Marathon, FL and Brian T. Shockey, Cincinnati, OH. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Friday July 30, 2004 from 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. Interment will follow in Eckhart Cemetery.
