- LONACONING — James A. Ternent, 81, Seldom Seen Road, died yesterday at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. Born in Lonaconing, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Crowe) Ternent. His wife, Rachel (Darnley) Ternent, preceded him in death. He was a retired Celanese Fibers Company employe. Surviving are five sons, George and William Ternent, here; James Ternent, Elk Ridge; Lawrence Ternent, Midland, and Cecil Ternent, Ambridge; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Green, National; Miss Edith Ternent, here; Mrs. Pearl Hopkins, Finzel and Mrs. Virginia Jones, Pekin; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Crowe, Mrs. May Johnson, here; Mrs. John Grindlc, Mrs. Florence Foster, Westernport; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
