Notes |
- Word was received here yesterday of the death of Mr. James Watson at his home in Eckhart after a short illness. The deceased was about 35 years of age and is survived by his wife. Mr. Watson's death was very sudden and unexpected, and came as a shock to his friends and relatives. It seems to have been the result of a relapse of the grip, the deceased having had an attack of the disease, and had recovered. He went out too soon it is thought, and the result was a sudden relapse which terminated in death. The funeral will take place from the residence at Eckhart where the services will be held, after which the remains will be interred in the cemetery at that place. Mr. Watson is survived by a number of brothers and sisters, Mrs. Conrad A. Lapp, of this city, being a sister. Mr. Watson was serving as constable of Eckhart at the time of his death.
