FROSTBURG - Mrs. Effie Kerr, 76, of 80 Mt. Pleasant Street, died this morning in Miners Hospital where she had been a patient a week. She had been in failing health for sometime. The wife of Thomas Kerr and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Adkins, she was a member of Welsh Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving, besides her husband, are five sons, Charles, William, Jack and Walter, all of Frostburg, and Glen, Cumberland; daughter, Mrs. Viola Alexander, Lonaconing, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. FROSTBURG — Services for Mrs. Effie Kerr, 76, of 80 Mt. Pleasant Street, who died yesterday in Miners Hospital, will be conducted at the residence Saturday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Wesley H. Harris, pastor of Welsh Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack Rase, John Hendley, Leslie Bevan, Lloyd Truly, Raymond Llewellyn and Joseph Keating. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 30, 1959
