ROUNCVILLE, Sherman; 1941 -- 2010
Sherm was taken by our great enemy death on Saturday, November 27th. He is no longer in pain from the cancer gnawing away at him. In his God Jehovah's memory he rests until he will be resurrected back here to a paradise earth. He will be missed every day by his wife Dorothy whom he lovingly cared for over 48 years; three
sons, Dean, Joel and Dallas along with their wives Jennifer, Diana and Cheryl; his two grandchildren he
so dearly loved, Jessamy and Seth. Also many friends and ones who adopted him as their spiritual dad. Survived by twin sister Sheila Oleksyn (John), Shirley Henshall, Charlotte Pahl and Mable Rouncville, and one brother Herman (Anne). Predeceased by his brother Herman Rouncville on October 26th, 2010. Sherm grew up in the Gibbons, AB area and attended school there. He worked in the stucco industry in Barrhead after school, and then for the CNR in Edmonton. He married Dorothy (Muller) in 1962 and they moved to Athabasca, Alberta in 1967. Here he started his own business, Sherm's Drywall Limited. He enjoyed training his three sons in the drywall construction, as well as drove
school bus for 17 years for the County of Athabasca. Sherm was very active in the Athabasca Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and helped out with the construction on Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls in three provinces.
Funeral arrangements have been made for Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Athabasca Multiplex, Harold Demmons, a long time friend will give the funeral discourse.
Sherm married Dorothy MULLER64 in 1962.64 They had three children: Dean, Joel, and Dallas.
