- SCOTTDALE, Oct. 2 — Mrs. Alcinda Porter Keefer died at 5:40 o'clock this morning at her home at 512 South Grant street after a three-week illness. Mrs. Keefer, the wife of John W. Keefer, was born February 1, 1862, at Tinsman's Station, Fayette county, the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Mary Ann Smith Porter. She was a member of the Jacobs Creek Methodist Church practically all of her life. Surviving are her husband, John W.; one sister, Mrs. Hettie Porter Bair, of Garden City, Long Island, and these nephews and nieces: Fred P. Caldwell, Portland, Ore.; Earl S. and S. E. Porter, of Dawson; Don Porter and Mrs. Gladys Porter McClelland, Connellsville; Mrs. Mary Porter Lowstetter, Charleroi; Colonel Otis Porter, Ashville, N. C.; Smith Porter Bair and William Glenn Bair, Scottdale; Mrs. Margaret Bair Christopherson, Garden City, Long Island; David R. Bair, Detroit, Mich. Friends may call at the Ferguson funeral home where the service will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Interment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park at Pennsville.
