- Wheeler F. Engle, 59, of Eckhart, died of a heart attack yesterday morning while driving a milk truck through Wrights Crossing. He was en route from Eckhart to the Dashiell Dairy, Midland, with a load of milk when he suffered the attack. His truck went out of control and crashed through a fence on the property of William Keeling before coming to a stop. A life-long resident of Eckhart and a member of Eckhart Methodist Church, he was a son the late Vincent and Hattie (Porter) Engle. He is survived by two brothers, William and Vincent Engle, both of Eckhart: three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Lancaster, LaVale; Mrs. Russell Seifarth, Hoffman, and Mrs. Percy Skidmore, Eckhart. The body is at the Rose Meadow Farm, near Eckhart. Services will be conducted at the residence on Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Rev. William T. Beckett and Rev. Joseph Byers. Interment will be in the Porter Cemetery at Eckhart.
