- ECKHART - Laura Jean (Stark) Saathoff, 85, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at her home in Eckhart. Born March 26, 1923 in Eckhart, she was the daughter of the late Henry M. and Clara M. (Snyder) Stark. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Saathoff. Mrs. Saathoff was a 1941 graduate of Beall High School. She was a member of the Eckhart Methodist Church, the Eckhart Methodist Church Choir, Ladies Aid Society, and the Homemakers. Surviving are her brother Jack Stark and wife Marquise, Eckhart; and her sister, Mildred Pryor, Eckhart. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. Interment will be in the Eckhart Cemetery. Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, MD
