Notes	Richard John Loar, 80, formerly of 1067 National Highway, LaVale, died yesterday at the Goodwill Mennonite Home in Grantsville where he had been a patient four years. He had been in ill health the past 10 years. A native of Loartown, he was a son of the late John Henry and Luella M. Loar. His wife, Eva Irene Loar, preceded him in death. A retired carpenter, Mr. Loar was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church and an honorary trustee of the church. Surviving are two sons, Richard H. and G. Clifton Loar, LaVale; a brother, D. Chester Loar, Loartown; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Eversole, city, and Mrs. Cecil Metz, Rawlings; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted at Park Place Church Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hubert Patrick, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Cumberland Evening Times, June 8, 1972
