- LONACONING — Gertrude Ann Cave, 81, of Devlin Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, formerly of Mt. Pleasant St., Lonaconing, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at the nursing home. Born Nov. 16, 1916, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Marie Darnley. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cave, in 1968. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Cave formerly worked at the Celanese Fibers Corporation. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing, a member of the Alvin C. Neat VFW No. 5280 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Lonaconing Senior Citizens. Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Lonaconing. Services will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steven Shussett officiating.
