- ECKHART - Ella A. McKenzie, 64, of Beechers Avenue, died Sunday, July 5, 1992 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born July 11, 1927 in Eckhart, she was the daughter of Myrtle G. (Ryan) Porter and the late Charles E. Porter. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker and a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church, The Helping Hand Society, and the Claysville Firemen’s Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Joseph R. McKenzie; one son, Kenard ‘Ken’ McKenzie and his wife, Pam, Cumberland; one grandson, Troy J. McKenzie, also of Cumberland. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. Services will be conducted there Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Rev. George M. Harpold and Rev. Doug McKenzie. Interment will be in the Eckhart Cemetery. The Clarksville Firemen’s Auxiliary will hold a memorial service Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
