- CUMBERLAND — Albert T. “Pete” Rockwell Jr., 63, of Cumberland, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at his residence. Born March 16, 1937, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Albert and Blanche (Riggleman) Rockwell Sr. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Rockwell; one sister, Elaine Simpson; and one brother-in-law, Ezra Davis. Mr. Rockwell was a retired laborer for Local 616. He was an avid racing fan and enjoyed his woodworking hobby. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Dorothy L. Rockwell; four sisters, Blanche Davis, Alberta Taylor and husband Virgil, Barbara MaBee and friend Mike Logsdon, and Deanna Rockwell and friend Mark Kenny, all of Cumberland; four brothers, Edward Rockwell Sr. and wife Angela, Fla., Harvey Rockwell and wife Terri, Ronnie Rockwell and wife Jody, all of Cumberland; and Robert Rockwell and wife Susan, W.Va.; one special nephew, Brandon Rockwell; one special niece, Charlotte Champ and husband Allen; and many, many other special nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ken L. Korns officiating.
