  Notes	Mary Margaret "Marg" (McKenzie) Ward, 81, of Finzel, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center surrounded by family. Marg was born Oct. 23, 1936, to Coby McKenzie and Louise (Burdock) McKenzie, in Finzel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John "Jack" McKenzie; and brother-in-law, William Ward. Marg graduated Northern High School in 1954 and retired from Garrett County Board of Education as a teacher's aide. She had a great passion for children's literacy and loved teaching. It is because of her love for teaching, Marg requested her body be donated to the Maryland State Anatomy Board so that students would continue to learn even after her passing. Marg is survived by her spouse of 60 years, James "Pokey" Ward Jr.; her only child, James Ward III and his spouse, June, Cumberland; grandchildren, Justin Adams, Frostburg; Amanda Ward, Huntersville, N.C.; and Zachary Ward, Castine, Maine; and great-grandson, Kaden Adams. She is also survived by sister, Maxine Bond, Frostburg; brother, Kenny McKenzie and partner, Linda Connor, Cumberland; sister-in-law, Betty Langan and spouse, Joe; Mildred Davis and spouse, Jerry; Mary Lou "Pinky" Ward; brother-in-law, Earl "Buv" Ward and spouse, Libby; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services are planned for Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Methodist Church, Finzel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Marg to one of the following charities: Emmanuel Methodist Church, Finzel; Salem Children's Trust, Grantsville; or Garrett Co. Volunteer Fire Department. The family thanks the staff of Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center for their wonderful care and compassion during Marg's residency there.
