Evelyn Colleen Harden, 84, of Frostburg, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Madaline (Klipstein) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James William "Buck" Harden; one brother, Ray Smith; one sister, Mary Winner; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Smith; three brothers-in-law, William "Pete" Cameron, James Hinkle, Larry Harden; and one nephew, Roy A. Smith. Colleen is survived by two sons, Robert Barnard Harden, William James Harden and wife, Leslie; and three grandsons, George Barton and wife, Megan, Patrick Barton and wife, Kelly, and their two daughters, Lyla Rae and Waverly Rose, and Jeffrey Harden and fiancé, Rachel; her dedicated sister, Shirley Blamer; three sisters-in-law, Betty J. Hinkle, Judy Harden, Fran Harden; and one brother-in-law, Robert Harden; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing, and Mount Siani Hospital School of Nursing, Baltimore, she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dedicated nurse for 42 years. She was an avid reader and lover of flower gardening. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a eulogy given by the Rev. George Harpold.
