- VALE SUMMIT — William Joseph Beechie III, 53, of Vale Summit, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at his home from an apparent heart attack with his friends and family by his side. Born Oct. 10, 1963, William was the son of William Beechie Jr. and Linda Beechie. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William J. and Mabel Beechie and maternal grandparents, Arch and Edith Hutcheson. William was a 1981 graduate of Allegany County Vo-Tech in the electrical maintenance program and Beall High School. He was employed at Allegany County Housing Authority in Cumberland. He was previously employed at Western Maryland Health System, Cumberland Housing Authority, Bayliner and Prichards. William is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nadine Skidmore Beechie and his daughter, Andrea Beechie and special friend, Tyler Redman. He also leaves behind his sisters, Bilinda Thuss and husband, Larry from Gilmore, Teresa Beechie Smith from Vale Summit; his brother-in-law Kevin Skidmore and wife, Allie from Lonaconing; nephew, Derrick Skidmore and fiancé, Bridget and their children, Christian and Carman; nieces, Sarah Sine and husband, John from Grafton and their children, Colten and Zach; and niece, Samantha Skidmore and fiancé, Jimmy Ritchie and their daughter, Sophia. William also leaves behind many other special family members and friends. His lifelong best friend and partner in shenanigans Dennis Loar will miss him dearly. William aka: Billy, William J., Dubs, WJ, Willium, Beechnut, the Nut, Dubby and W will be missed by everyone who was every blessed to have met him. He has left behind a legacy that no other will be able to fill the void. Friends and family will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel in Barton. The viewing will be held on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, from 3 to 6 p.m. with the memorial services provided by Jim Taylor beginning at 6 p.m. Services and words of comfort will be performed by Jim Taylor. Memorial donations may be made payable to the Goodwill Fire Company Auxiliary at 2 Advocate Court, Lonaconing, Midland Methodist Church at 19915 Church St., Frostburg, MD 21532; or a charity of the donors choice.
