"Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, with Dr. Willard Frost officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo. Memorials: Parkview Free Methodist Church Building Fund." "Mrs. Grubaugh was born June 28, 1906, in rural St. Elmo, daughter of Charles Edward and Mary Magdaline Logue Grubaugh. She was a retired cook for the Patio Restaurant in Vandalia and was a member of Parkview Free Methodist Church and the Crawford-Hale Post 95 American Legion Auxiliary. She married John Elden Grubaugh on June 16, 1923. He died January 12, 1949."
