"EAST PEORIA--Gordon L. Nance, 71, of 307 Dundee Road, East Peoria, died at 8:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at his residence in East Peoria, Ill."
"He was born on March 6,1934, in Jackson Co., Ill. to Willard L. and Gussie B. Dallas Nance."
"He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the 498th Engineering Battalion, and also played on the Army basketball and softball teams in Germany."
"He was a devoted and loving husband to Wanda L. Hutchcraft, whom he married on April 17, 1953, in Peoria, Ill. She survives."

"A funeral service to celebrate Gordon's life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at the Highview Church of God in Washington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, Ill. Additional visitation will be one-half hour prior to services (9:30 to 10 a.m.) at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, Ill., where military rites will be accorded."
