SAMUEL NANCE
"Samuel Levi Nance, 57, of 3225 W. Manchester, died at 8 a.m. yesterday in Proctor Hospital, after an illness of two weeks."
"He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. 29 years, last working when he became ill."
"Born Nov. 1, 1924, in Murphysboro, a son of Willard and Bessie Dallas Nance, he married Virginia Lee Nelson (sic-Wilson) Feb. 21, 1942, in Jackson, Mo."
"Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Brenda) Burling of Peoria and Mrs. Perry (Nancy) Miller of Eureka; two sons, John R. of Mapleton and Rex Lee of Benson; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Pugh of Peoria; and two brothers, Lawrence of Washington and Gordon of East Peoria. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death."
"Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Schmidt-Haller Funeral Parlors, East Peoria, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday."
