"Mrs. Opal Etta Doty, 57, of 1080 W. Grand Ave., was dead of natural causes on arrival at 5:50 p.m. yesterday at Decatur and Macon County Hospital."
"Mrs. Doty, employed as a cook at the YWCA, was born March 2, 1907, in Milmine, the daughter of Guy L. and Leafy Mae Dittamore."
"She was a resident of Decatur 37 years, coming here from Monticello."
"She was affiliated with St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was a member of the Army Mothers Club, Rebekah Lodge and the Pythian Sisters."
"She married Raymond R. Doty in June, 1923, in Covington, Ind."
She leaves her husband; sons, Raymond T., of Pittsburg, Pa., and Robert R., of Decatur; a daughter, Mrs. James R. (Norma) Smith, of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Ardith) Nuttall, of West Terre Haute, Ind.; and eight grandchildren."
