"RUTH HAYES"
"Ruth M. Hayes, 86, of Monticello, formerly of Galesville, died 10:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 1987, at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello."
"Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, with Rev. Frank New officiating. Burial was in the Monticello Cemetery."
"Mrs. Hayes was born April 9, 1901, at Monticello, a daughter of William and Mary McKenzie Hosler. She married Don H. Hayes Jan. 12, 1921. He died Nov. 26, 1971."
"She is survived by one son, Don D. Hayes of Urbana; one daughter, Betty Whisman of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, Dale Hosler of Penfield; two sisters, Laura (sic) Catlin and Hazel Hayes, both of Monticello."
"Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death."
"Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home."
