"The Monticello Bulletin" Monticello, IllinoisFriday, April 16, 1909
"After seven weeks of suffering from abscesses of the liver, Miss Annie May McKenzie died Sunday evening, April 11, at 11 o'clock at the home of her parents on West Main Street. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward McKenzie.
"She was born in Fayette County, Illinois, July 24, 1892. During the early part of her illness, she was in a hospital in Effingham, Illinois, but she was brought home and tenderly cared for by her devoted parents. But the medical aid and tender care were of no avail and death claimed her for his own.
"Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from the Catholic church, Rev. Father Selva officiating and interment was in Monticello cemetery."
