    • CUMBERLAND — Gerald Gene “Jerry” Weimer Sr., 62, of Cumberland, died on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at the WMHS Sacred Heart Campus Hospital. Born May 9, 1943, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Lester Hobert Weimer and Helen Marie (McKenzie) Weimer. Mr. Weimer was also preceded in death by a brother, James A. Weimer. A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1962, Jerry was formally employed by Kelly-Springfield Tire and Rubber Company and was last employed at Oester Trucking Company. He was a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club, the Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245, and a life member of The Livingstone Church of the Brethren. Jerry had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and motorcycle riding, as well as bowling and woodworking. Jerry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elsie V. (Stafford) Weimer; his sons, Gerald G. Weimer Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robert D. Weimer and his wife Angie, Carpendale, W.Va.; and his daughter, Tammey L. Northcraft and her husband, William, Cumberland. Also surviving Jerry is his brother, William C. Weimer and his wife Linda, Bridgeport, W.Va.; his twin sister, Geraldine J. Kelley and her husband Allen, Potomac Park, Md.; his other sisters, Patty A. Graham and her husband Durward “Dude,” Cumberland, and Janet Leasure and her husband Claude, Middleburg, Fla.; as well as his grandchildren, Chuckie Gabert, Timothy Gabert, Teddy Gabert, his twin grandsons, Billy Weimer and Bobby Weimer, all of Carpendale, W.Va., Sheena Marie Weimer, Somerset, Pa., Craig Northcraft II, Michael C. Collins, and lyrus D. Northcraft, all of Cumberland; and his special feline friend, Sox. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, PA., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland,on Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at ll a.m. with Pastor Chester L. Fisher officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be made in Jerry’s name to The Livingstone Church of the Brethren, West Second and North Cedar Streets, Cumberland, MD 21502.
