- Grantsville – Ada Carolyn House, 62, of 1430 Dung Hill Rd., Grantsville, dies Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Born May 26, 1940, in Pocohontas, Pa., she was the daughter of Leona (McKenzie) Oester and the late Charles Oester. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Harold House, May 22, 1994; one brother, Edgar “Dick” Oester; and one niece, Patricia Beitzel. Mrs. House was a member of the Church of the Brethren, was a homemaker; and member of Allegany/Garrett Sportmen’s Association. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Warnick and husband, Donnie, Port Royal, Pa., two step daughter, Judy Shaffer; Meyersdale. Pa., and Carolyn Graham, Texas; three step sons, Robert, Gordon, and Larry House, all of Grantsville; three brothers, Donald and David Oester, both of Meyersdale, and Charles K. Oester, Springs, Pa.; four sisters, Bonnie Minick, Mill Run, Pa., Clara Christner, Meyersdale, Lois Rugg, Confluence, Pa., and Linda House, Grantsville; and two grandsons, Bryan Basinger and Shawn Warnick. Interment will be in the Durst Cemetery. (no newspaper indicated on obituary)
