- Mrs. G. Edward Skidmore – Mrs. Martha W. Skidmore, 95, 0f Borden, died yesterday at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Mt. Savage, she was a daughter of the late Josiah and Mary (Elias) Williams. She was preceeded in death by her husband, G. Edward Skidmore. She was a member of the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Harry E. Skidmore, Borden; six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Pollack, Johnstown; Mrs. Dorothy Howsare, Borden; Mrs. Sarah Uhl, Mt. Savage; Mrs. Gladys McKenzie, Shaft; Mrs. Catherine Thomas, Freedom, Pa.; Mrs. Rhoda Folk, with whom she resided; two sisters, Mrs. Marian Geary, Grahamtown, and Mrs. Sarah Crowe, Ellwood City, Pa.; 19 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 21 great great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 or 4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Rev. Lewis W. Terry. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Cumberland Evening Times September 22, 1975
