- GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Charles K. (Mousie) Hoover, 64, 249 S. Washington St., died Wednesday evening at the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, W. Va. Born in Kauffman Station, Pa., he was the son of the late John H. and Bessie McKenzie Hoover. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He served with the U.S. Army for 22 years prior to retiring in 1967 with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was a member and past commander of Frank L. Carbaugh Post 37J of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis L. Holbert Hoover, one daughter, Mrs. Edward Button of Hagerstown; one son, Charles Gregory Hoover at home; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Garling, Mrs. Brinton Cordell, and Mrs. William Kinafrock, all of Greencastle; four brothers, Warren Hoover, Harry Hoover, and Donald Hoover, all of Greencastle, and James Hoover of Hagerstown; and four grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Glen A. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
