Notes	FROSTBURG - Betty J. Housel, 74, of Wrights Crossing, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born August 1, 1930 in Finzel, she was a daughter of the late James and Anna Pearl (Burdock) Clark. Surviving are her husband, Clarence Housel, Jr.; son, Larry and wife Vickie, Frostburg, daughter, Judy McKenzie and husband Olin, Long Stretch, daughter, Karen Ritchey, and husband, Charles (Woody), Frostburg; daughter, Lois Bennett, Lonaconing, and son Mark, Frostburg. Grandchildren, Larry Housel, Jr., James Housel, Sherri Hendrix, Rebecca Housel, Jennifer McKenzie, Cindy Garlitz, Heather Ritchey, Shaun Ritchey, Todd Ritchey, Mathew Ritchey, Tiffani Ritchey, Shannon Bennett, Shane Bennett. Great-grandchildren, Haley Ritchey, Madison Nichole Housel, Zacharia Hendrix; brother, Paul Clark and wife Evelyn, Finzel, and sister, Shirley Blank and husband Glenn, Frostburg. She was employed as a cook at Maplehurst Country Club, and by Mariott Food Service at Frostburg State University. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church; Women of the Moose Chapter 221, where she was a Past Senior Regent; Frostburg Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 24. She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Housel; three sisters: Helen Caton, Catherine Folk, and Charlotte Opel; two brothers, Allan Clark, and James Clark. Infant granddaughter, Amanda Bennett, and son-in-law, Ronald Bennett. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P. A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Monday from 7-9 p.m.., and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Women of the Moose, Chapter 221 will hold a memorial service on Monday at 8:15 p. m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Wednesday , at 11:00 A.M. with The Rev. Father C. Douglas Kenney as celebrant. Interment will be in the Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Western Maryland Home Hospice Care, 600 Memorial Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502 The family was able to respect her wishes to remain at home because of the excellent care provided by her sitters and Home Hospice.
