- CUMBERLAND — F. Chris Hauser, 50, of 610 Hilltop Drive, Cumberland, died on Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at his home. Born March 2, 1955, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Joseph “Smoke” Francis Hauser and Mary Margaret “Smitty” (Smith) Hauser. Mr. Hauser was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Robinette; and a stepson, Gary M. McKenzie. Mr. Hauser retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 307 with 25 years of service. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church; the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245, the Cumberland Good Fellowship Club, and the Crossroads Sportsman Club. Chris is survived by his wife, Bonnie K. (McKenzie) Hauser; his son, Curt Christopher Hauser, Cumberland; his stepdaughter, Michelle Harris and her husband Bill, Cumberland; his brother, Joseph C. Hauser and his wife Connie, Cumberland; a nephew, Joe Hauser and his wife Charity, and their son, Little Joe, all of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Spencer Courtney and William Harris; a special brother-in-law, Joseph Shipley; and a special nephew, Richy Milburn, all of Cumberland; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, Cumberland, on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 307 will hold a memorial service at 5:50 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Bernard Yost officiating.
