- FROSTBURG — Teresa N. “Tush” McKenzie, 78, of Frostburg Heights Apartments, Frostburg, died Thursday, March 14, 1996, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born April 3, 1917, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Bailey) Nolan. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Melvin Merrbaugh and Francis McKenzie; three sisters, Catherine Valentine, Evelyn Dick and Gertrude Crowe and two brothers, John Nolan and Vincent Nolan. Mrs. McKenzie had been employed at Shupe’s Pharmacy and Frostburg State College. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Surviving are one step daughter, Gladys Lashbaugh and husband, Wesley, Finzel; two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Phyllis Blake, Baltimore. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday at 9:30 a.m. with Father Paul A. Byrnes officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The Cumberland Times-News, March 16, 1996
