Eldon Crowe, Triple Lakes, was held in $500 bond posted by his mother in Peoples Court this morning when pretty, petite Mrs. Catherine Hamilton of Keyser appeared against him and charged him with being the father of her one-and-one-half-year old child. Mrs. Hamilton was Miss Catherine Moore. She was represented by former States Attorney for Mineral County Ernest A. See. The present States Attorney, V. E. Rankin was present also and F. Mrs. Eldon Crowe, Cresaptown, accused of slashing her husband with a butcher knife, during an argument at their home Saturday night, has been released pending the outcome of his injuries, it was said today by Officer H. Eldon Harold Crowe, 63, of RD 1, Ridgeley, died yesterday at his residence. He was born in Finzel, a son of the late George and Anna (Steinla) Crowe, and was a retired employee of Celanese Fibers Company. Survivors include one son, E. H. Crowe, Bel Air, and two grandchildren. The body is at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, where friends will be received after 7 p.m. today. The Cumberland Evening Times, February 21, 1974
