  Notes	WESTERNPORT — David L. “Ducky” Matthews, 62, of 232 Greene St., Westernport, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born Sept. 7, 1935, in Moscow, he was the son of the late Edward and Hazel (Smith) Matthews. He also was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Mr. Matthews was retired from Westvaco with 32 years in Tech Service. He was a member of Luke Local 676 UPIU. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, and a member of the Stoney Run Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Thelma (McKenzie) Matthews; one son, David A. Matthews, Westernport; one daughter, Barbara Moore, Luke; three sisters, Shirley Basye, Rawlings, Ruth Ann Wilson, Lonaconing, and Dorothy Mae McKenzie, Frostburg; two grandchildren, Jason Moore and Lee Ann Matthews, both of Westernport; and two great-grandchildren, Shawna Christine Moore and Christopher Jason David Moore. Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, March 2, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Morris officiating.
