Cumberland Times-News, Saturday, May 29, 2010 FROSTBURG — Bernard Richard LaRue, 53, of Frostburg, died Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Jan. 23, 1957, in Cumberland, he was the son of Elsie (Smith) LaRue and the late Willard Richard LaRue. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Richard LaRue and Michael Richard LaRue. Bernard was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing and his children and grandchildren. He was employed at Hunter Douglas. Surviving, besides his mother, is his wife, Elizabeth (Ann) Powers LaRue; four sons, Shawn LaRue, of Pennsylvania, Shane Michael Richard LaRue and wife Misty, of Frostburg, Dylan LaRue and wife Elyse, of Frostburg, and Seth LaRue, of Frostburg; stepdaughter Sara Glotfelty and husband Garth, of Frostburg; grandchildren Jordan, Makayla, Sydney, Geoffrey, Kylie, Mason, Skyler, and Ya’zariah; sisters Cheryl Harper and husband Keith, of Frostburg, Michelle Raley and husband Donald, of Frostburg, and Corinne Pappas and husband Richard, of Oakland; sisters-in-law, Linda Bruner, of Frostburg and Karen Nicholson, of LaVale; brother-in-law, Bobby Powers, of Frostburg; several nieces and nephews; and a special cat, Mica. At the request of Bernard, services will be private. “You were the love of my life and always will be. Until we meet again, all my love.” Honey Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., will be in charge of arrangements.
