- Cumberland, MD - Mary Cleo Barnes, 79, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Devlin Manor Health Care Center. Born September 20, 1935, in Frostburg, MD, Ms. Barnes was the daughter of the late Vincent Lavin and Anna Aurella (Wampler) Lavin. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Paul Lavin; her sisters: Eileen Lavin and Doris Brower; and a daughter: Teresa (Barnes) Wolfe. Ms. Barnes retired as a nursing assistant at the Veterans Hospital in Dundalk, MD. She was a member of the Church of Saint Patrick in Cumberland, MD. Mary is survived by her daughters: Anna Lamb, Belmar, NJ; and Brenda Gray and husband, John, Cumberland, MD; and her sons: Mark Wolfe of Virginia; and Robert Bitzel and husband, Dan, Catonsville, MD. She also leaves behind her brothers: Dennis Lavin, of Maryland; and Wayne Lavin, Frostburg, MD; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren A funeral service will be held at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 11:00 A.M.
