A graduate of Beall Hign School, he was a former local employe of the Potomac Edison Company. Surviving, besides his parents, are his widow, Mrs. Marion (Boyland) Lavin; a son, Robert Lavin, and two daughters, Patricia and Nancy Lavin, all at home.
