Pope, 45, of Star Route, Frostburg, died Sunday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Mary Minnick, Star Route, Barton, after a lingering illness. Born in Eckhart, she was a daughter of Hilary and Nellie (Lavin) Lancaster. Mrs. Pope was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary to the Clarysville Fire Company and Auxiliary to Cresaptown FOE 2883. Also surviving are her husband, Scott Pope; three sons, Robert Pope, Aldi, Va.; Francis Pope, Oxen Hill, and James Pope, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Pope, at home; five brothers, Charles Lancaster, Zihlman; Bruce and Herbert Lancaster, Frostburg; Ralph Lancaster, Follanbee, W. Va., and James Lancaster, Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Weimer, Middletown, Va.; and Mrs. Minnick. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home, here, where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. Cresaptown FOE Auxiliary will hold a memorial today at 7:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service by Clarysville Fire Auxiliary at 8 p.m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m. with Rev.
