- LaVale - Jack Beal, 64, of LaVale, formerly of Patterson Avenue, Cumberland, died Thursday, January 19, 1995, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born on March 31, 1930, in Frostburg, he was a son of the late William Howard and Margaret (Jones) Beal. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Meagher Beal in 1991. Mr. Beal served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, where he had worked in the Shipping Department. He was a member of Welsh Memorial Baptist Church, Fort Cumberland Post 14 American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose Frostburg Lodge 348, Cresaptown Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2883 and Cumberland Aerie 245, Dapper Dan Club of Allegany County, and the Allegany County Democrat Club. Survivors include nieces and nephews and his fiance Agnes Llewellyn. Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home on Monday from 8 to 9 A.M. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 9 A.M. with the Rev. William Boyer officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be James Beal, Brad Beal, Larry Beal, Bob White, and Robert Hinkle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 10616 Beaver Dam Road, Rockville, MD 20850.
