Death was attributed to asthma and a heart condition. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church here. Surviving are the following children, Clarence Lavin, Cumberland; Mrs. Eugene Smith; Earl, Vincent, and Edward Lavin, all of Frostburg; Bernard and Edith Lavin, at home; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Wintermyer, LaVale.
