- FROSTBURG — John Lavin, 63, native of Eckhart, died of a heart attack Monday at his home in Baltimore. A retired shipyard worker, Mr. Lavin had resided in Baltimore about 30 years. He underwent a foot operation about six weeks ago. Surviving are his widow and three children, Joseph and John Lavin, Jr., and Mrs. Roland Krause, all of Baltimore; four brothers, William Lavin, Frostburg; George Lavin, Eckhart; Aden Lavin, Mt. Savage, and Leo Lavin, Garrett county, and four sisters, Mrs. Bernard Klosterman, Red Hill; Mrs. Raymond Burrall, Cumberland; Mrs. Hilary Lancaster, Eckhart; and Mrs. John Gaskell, Frostburg. January 24, 1951
